Join the Vascular Access Society!
The Vascular Access Society is an European Medical Society whose purpose is to encourage and to report advances in the field of vascular access for dialysis and related subjects. It is formed of individuals only: full members, associate members, honorary members and senior members. It is open to all qualified workers in the field of interest of the Association.

The VAS was founded on 30 October 1997, during the 3rd International Congress on Access for Dialysis in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The objectives of this society are to raise interest in the field of hemodialysis vascular access, to promote and conduct basic and clinical research and to organize congresses, meetings and courses.

The VAS is a multidisciplinary society, joining nephrologists, surgeons, interventional radiologists and dialysis nurses, which a special interest in all issues concerning vascular access for hemodialysis treatment. The VAS organizes International Congresses and multidisciplinary courses every year in one of the major cities of Europe.

Membership of the VAS offers
