Dear Members,

At the end of year 2007  I would like to make a resume of Vascular Access Society (VAS) activity.

In June 2007 was very successful 5th Congress of VAS organized by French members of this Society in Nice.  The final opinion of all participants after the congress and latter was very positive, regarding quality of lectures and discussion and organization too.

There were some suggestions to continue with such structure of congresses  in the future. On the base of discussion at Board meeting in Nice, we plan to change some items in the VAS Constitution. The purpose of this is to renew the structure of the Council members and to organize some new committees. After confirmation of this completion by members of VAS, proposal for new Council members will be given.

Checking the list of members, we noticed that 96 members didn’t pay membership for the year 2007. We will kindly ask by E-mail all this members to pay membership and they will have:

• Reduced registration fees for the meetings, workshops and various scientific and educational events of the VAS
• Free subscription on the Journal of Vascular Access with 4 issues per year
• Free subscription on the VAS Newsletter which you will receive twice a year
• Free Access to the VAS website with downloads guidelines and links
• Up-date information on worldwide congresses and courses

Next Course of VAS will be at April, 18-19, 2008 in Alexandropoulis in Greece. All interested members are kindly invited to be there. Detailed information will be seen at websites www.vascularaccesssociety.com at the beginning 2008.
